The user has some control over the flow and presentation of infornation or story material. This control can be exerted in a number of ways,such as clicking on a menu or guilding a character's actions with the mouse. This is the opposite of linear media, such as a traditional video, where the creator contols the flow of information and the viewer is a passive recipient. Interactivity allows users to get the content that they want when they want it, and it allows the users to be avtive participants in the communication process. There are practical limist to potential of a particular user's equipment has to be powerful enough to support the level of interactivity.
And even if the viewer has the best system in the world, if the source material is CD-ROM ,a DVD ,or some other closed system, the pllayer is working with a finite number of options
